La performance My Home has a golden Guest rientra in una serie di studi che Pier Giorgio De Pinto (CH) sta effettuando sul Genius Loci e su tutti quei luoghi che hanno una particolare energia, con riferimento al Monte Verità e ai suoi illustri ospiti che ne hanno frequentato e studiato il territorio. La performance e installazione di De Pinto in collaborazione con Andrew Zealley (CA) rappresentano lo studio e la pratica da parte di De Pinto di una disciplina spirituale quale il Reiki, fusi con l’ambiente di “suono curativo” (healing sound environment) creato da Zealley.
De Pinto ha richiesto la partecipazione di 5 ospiti invitati appositamente per l’evento. Sono persone a lui care, testimoni di ricordi ed esperienze personali, con le quali egli è rimasto legato fino ad oggi. Gli ospiti infatti sono, secondo De Pinto, relazionati nel suo spazio-tempo passato, presente e futuro prossimo. Ad essi egli vuole rendere omaggio, ringraziandoli della loro presenza e prendendosi cura del loro Essere.
De Pinto aveva già lavorato in passato attorno a questo tema con le sue performance Continuity Identity Theory (1999) o PNEUMA (2011); e anche il progetto Future is Now (2011), dove l’artista aggiunge al concetto temporale una dimensione spirituale che si rifà a pratiche di contatto con l’energia vitale e universale (detta in giapponese KI). Proprio questa nuova dimensione verrà pienamente trattata da De Pinto durante la performance My Home has a golden Guest.
Solo a fine performance, ovvero dopo l’incontro con i cinque ospiti, De Pinto darà accesso al pubblico alle ore 21:00. Il pubblico beneficerà della calma e serenità emanate dal luogo: un insieme di luci, suoni, profumi e colori, che si potranno percepire stando sdraiati all’interno della tenda per tutto il tempo necessario. Si entrerà rispettando in silenzio il luogo e sempre accompagnati da De Pinto.
L’apertura al pubblico è prevista il giorno 27 dalle 21.00 alle 23.00, e i giorni 28 e 29 dalle 14.00 alle 18.00.
Per quanto riguarda l’ambiente sonoro creato da Andrew Zealley si riconosce una caratteristica presente già in altri lavori di collaborazione come quelli con AA Bronson dove l’aspetto sciamanico dell’azione è accompagnato da suoni e frequenze “lunari” che inducono calma e benessere. Il brano FULL BOOM (golden guest mix) tratto da MOON PHASE MUSICS e prodotto da PSBEUYS viene presentato da Zealley in una versione remix appositamente creata per la performance di De Pinto.

The performance My Home has a golden Guest is part of a series of studies that Pier Giorgio De Pinto (CH) is doing about Genius Loci and around particular energetic locations, referring to Monte Verità (Hill of Truth, literally) and to its illustrious guests who approached and deepened this territory. De Pinto’s performance and installation, made in collaboration with Andrew Zealley (CA), represent the artist’s analysis and practice of a spiritual discipline like Reiki fused with an ambience of healing sound environment created by Zealley.
For this new performance De Pinto has required the participation of 5 guests, expressly invited for this event. They are friends or persons, who marked by their strong remembering or personal experience a solid friendship with the artist until now. The guests are, in fact, in De Pinto’s opinion, related to his past but also present and futue Spacetime. He wants to tribute them and thank them for their presence, as well as taking care of them, by healing their Being.
De Pinto has already worked in the past around this theme carrying out performances like Continuity Identity Theory (1999) or PNEUMA (2011); and also the project Future is Now (2011), in which the artist adds to the concept of temporality a spiritual dimension, which goes back to physical contact practices with vital and universal energy (called in Japanese KI). It is exactly this aspect that will be treated by De Pinto during the performance My Home has a golden Guest.
Only at the end of the performance, after the meeting-treatment with the 5 guests, De Pinto will allow the admission to the public at 9.00 p.m. The visitors will get benefit from the quietness and serenity diffused by the location: a whole of lights, sounds, perfume and colours, which can be perceived by lying inside a gazebo located in the garden along the necessary time. The admission to the gazebo is possible together with Pier Giorgio De Pinto in silent respect for the location.
Further visits are possible with no appointment on Sunday the 28th and Monday the 29th from 2.00 p.m. throughout 6.00 p.m.
As far as the sound environment created by Andrew Zealley is concerned, a characteristic recurring within other collaborations of him can be recognized: like those with AA Bronson, for instance, where the shamanic aspect of the action is associated with ‘moony’ sounds and frequencies, that induce to calmness and well-being. The passage FULL BOOM (golden guest mix) out of MOON PHASE MUSICS produced by PSBEUYS is played by Zealley in a remixed version, especially composed for De Pinto’s performance.
