Fa sempre piacere leggere del CACT tramite il punto di vista di persone esterne. In questo caso il punto di vista d'eccezione di Franko B, da un post sul suo Blog "franko-class.blogspot.com/ in seguito alla visita di Mario Casanova alle classi di scultura tenute da Franko B in quel di Macerata...

"OSPITE DEL GIORNO: Mario Casanova responsabile del centro di arte Contemporanea della Svizzera. Tale istituzione è un centro aperto di Arte Contemporanea diverso dagli altri centri, inquanto promuove l'arte e la cultura senza pensare a quanti biglietti d'ingresso strappa al giorno. Infatti, dopo gli anni '60, le mostre d'arte diventano luoghi attenti all'incasso e all''affluenza di fruitori, piuttosto che promotori di messaggi e cultura.  Il Museo è oggi un'Azienda attenta ai suoi progetti in virtù d'incassi e leggi economiche. Il centro del Ticino si muove salvaguardando l'Arte con la lettera Maiuscola, infatti, ha lasciato il lavoro curatoriale all'artista. L'artista ha proposto il progetto artistico e si è preoccupato di riformulare gli spazi museali rispondendo all'esigenze dello sviluppo della mostra stessa. In tale centro si evitano esposizioni da grandi incassi, sminuendo le mode collezionistiche che oggi hanno sostituito le Avanguardie. Questa tipologia di Museo prevede un'apertura totale verso l'artista che dovrà proporre il suo progetto, per decostruire lo spazio museale per poi appropriarsene e farlo proprio seguendo l'esigenza del'esposizione. Questo è un atto di fertilizzazione sociale dell'arte.

About ch-arts:

ch-arts is a Swiss platform dedicated to contemporary arts and the distribution of related information.

CHARTER

Centralisation and multi-disciplinarity

Designed as a cultural exchange and referral vehicle, the ch-arts site has the mission to centralise and reference various types of resources connected with the visual arts, performing arts, design, graphic arts and architecture.

Trilingual presentation and communication

ch-arts provides overviews of the current state of the contemporary arts in Switzerland, by means of several supplementary sections.

ch-arts introduces artists who are active and recognised on the contemporary Swiss scene, and in parallel provides cultural institutions with a dynamic, trilingual (French, German and English) communication structure to inform various audiences about their activities.

Evolutionary nature of the site

The content presented on ch-arts is a collection of information which is continuously expanding to follow the evolution of their respective domains. The flexible structure of the site makes it possible, at any time, to accommodate new developments in order to complete and enhance this information.

Selectivity and coherence

ch-arts does not claim to provide a complete panorama of all artistic output, but is rather a discerning and coherent set of information. Therefore, the content is chosen according to the criteria selected by the editors and the Steering Committee.

The selection of articles is governed by three criteria:

Geographical:

ch-arts presents artists and institutions established in Switzerland, or international institutions featuring Swiss artists.

Time:

The artists and works presented on ch-arts are contemporary - the site is mainly concerned with creation from the eighties to the present day.

Recognition:

The artists and institutions mentioned on ch-arts are active in at least one of the domains involved (visual arts, performing arts, design, graphic arts, architecture) and demonstrate a contemporary approach in their own disciplines. They have achieved recognition at regional, national or international level via bona fide channels.

The CACT Centre of Contemporary Art in Canton Ticino starts from December 2010 a series of events and other initiatives beside the exhibition program of the Centre. This new activities are generally named The Living Room at 5 o’clock. Thank to this new proposal, the CACT aims to boost the professional diffusion and thinking on contemporary identity beyond the official institutions.

This first event will focus on the realm of cultural independent spaces in Ticino and in Switzerland.

Dal mese di dicembre 2010 il CACT Centro d’Arte Contemporanea dà inizio a una serie di manifestazioni – collateralmente alle attività espositive del CACT – genericamente titolate The Living Room at 5 o’ clock. Questo ‘salotto’ propone un ciclo di iniziative, eventi e altre proposte collaterali alle attività espositive del Centro. Con tale nuova proposta, il CACT intende incentivare la diffusione professionale dell’arte e del pensiero contemporanei al di fuori dei canali istituzionali.
Il primo di questi eventi sarà, appunto, una riflessione sulle realtà indipendenti in Ticino e in Svizzera.

Everything Is Just Wonderful! is an art exhibition organized by Blissland Project: there’s no wonder Politics is ashaming the world and there is not much we can do. Still, we can laugh about it.

John Heartfield / Helmut Harzfeld knew that, and back in the 40's entertained Europe with his amazing and satirical photo collages, striking the regime right in its strictness with a totally peaceful but dangerous power: the strength of the transformation into ridiculous. Now, in times when Politics seem to be once again far away from the people’s everyday life, Art has the duty to bring both closer: under the bad influence of Heartfield, seven artists from all over the world will present their works, marked by the ambitious aim to make the public’s consciousness more sensitive and committed in a satirical way.

Blissland Berlin will host the exhibition from 4 throughout 23 December 2010.

Blissland is a new media and art project located in Berlin, run by a collective of musicians and artists deriving from many fields of art and disciplines.

In the Land of Bliss every single atom is permeated with Art, as well as every month we try to alter the composition by mixing atoms of Sound, Visual and Culture, in order to create a different perceptive reality, in which it would be possible to see with different eyes, hear with different ears, think different thoughts and speak various languages.

Everything Is Just Wonderful! è una mostra d'arte organizzata da Blissland Project: la Politica è la vergogna del mondo, non è una novità; e non c'è molto che si possa fare. Possiamo, però, riderne.

John Heartfield / Helmut Harzfeld lo sapeva e negli anni ‘40 divertì l'Europa con i suoi bellissimi fotocollage satirici, colpendo il regime e la sua severità con una forza totalmente pacifica eppure pericolosa: il potere di ridicolizzare.

Ora, in tempi in cui la Politica sembra nuovamente lontana dalla quotidianità delle persone, l'Arte ha il dovere di riavvicinarla: sotto la cattiva influenza di Heartfield, sette artisti da tutto il mondo hanno presentato i loro lavori con l'ambizioso obiettivo di sensibilizzare la coscienza del pubblico in modo satirico.

La mostra sarà presentata presso Blissland Berlino dal 4 al 23 dicembre 2010.

Blissland, un progetto d’arte e nuovi media con base a Berlino, è diretto da un collettivo di musicisti e artisti provenienti da varie discipline.

Nella Terra di Bliss ogni atomo è permeato d'Arte e ogni mese cerchiamo di alterare la composizione coniugando atomi di Suono, Visual e Cultura, con lo scopo di creare una realtà alternativa laddove sia possibile vedere con occhi diversi, ascoltare con orecchi diversi, pensare pensieri diversi e parlare altri linguaggi.
